Over a month

Sorry about that.... (not that anyone reads this anyways)

Work has been alternating between crazy busy and nothing to do. It would be nice to find a happy medium but i kind of thrive under pressure.

I signed up for classes for my first semester. I am taking

Accounting for Managers and Organization Analysis and Skills

Class starts on 9/2 and I will probably be chained to a desk for a while. Considering that I am trying to lose 30 lb, that is kind of a tall order but I think i will still find the time and motivation to hit the gym (i hope)

I climbed Mt. Monandock on Sunday. My knees are still black and blue from that excursion. I am going again on June 7th and will try to not use one of my knees to help my stick arms to pull me up. What a difference good hiking boots make...i walked across open ridges of rock with no problem and sunned myself at the beautifull summit 3100 feet in the air. The only drawback was lakc of reception (one would think that reception would be awesome on top of a mountain) but I guess Tmobile does not have towers anywhere around or near Jaffrey NH

Oo..i almost forgot...Vegas next weekend cant wait.

Chance to hang out with JK's handwriting

So I am not nearly talented enough for this but some of my lj friends are and I am hoping against hope that they chose to subscribe to my syndication because nothing would make me more happy then to see one of you taleneted fanfictioners win this :)

Amazon is holding a writing contest, the winner of who would actually get to see Beedle the Bard up close and personal.

Here is the link from Amazon

Monday yall

Hi guys,
This seems much easier to update on work days considering I am tied to my desk and I have no access to live journal over here. I noticed that some people have subscribed to my syndication so I am at least going to assume that I have an audience. It is much more depressing to blog if you know that no one cares :)

My car has some sort of a muffler/exhaust system problem. I drove backwards over a big rock and my pipe got edged over it and I had to move back and forth to get away...not my car is a bit louder when I start my engine and press on the gas. When I drive at speed all is good....I am going to take this to my mechanic on Saturday and bring Billy to me. If i am alone, i know I will get fleeced cause I know naught about cars.

I have been extremely lathargic all weekend. I dont know why that is and I am slightly concerned.

Ramblings of a lunatic

There is a penguin on my desk. He is wearing one of thos orange life circle thingies. I stole it from our security guru (ok not stoled but asked him if I could have it. It would be pretty sad if one could steal something from a security guru). I hope noone steals anything from me. It is evidently pretty easy to steal stuff from me considering i am missing most of my pens. Oh well:)

I need to remind Billy to upload the random pictures on his camera to a computer-any computer-preferably my computer. There are like 60 awesome candids on there that I would like to have in a a place other than a teeny tiny camera screen

So let's see how well this works

Finding the syndication paged on live journal is much more of a pain in the ass then I thought. You would think that it would be easier. In fact I think that it used to be, but thy hid it quite well. I am going to put this under the heading of russian conspiracy :)

it is raining in a rather annoying fashion outside. I would normally not have a problem with this excpt for the fact that I have a meeting at 9 am in building 1. Must resist the urge to drive 500 Feet :)

Update: 10:11 am

Graham wanted us to take a car so I drove anyways...yay for not getting too wet. it is actually not that bad outside. I am going to go to the gym after work tonight. Tomorrow is Lynn Woods+a facial. Sunday is Mt. Auburn cemtary.

Thats all I have for now. I might update later.

I had to find a new blogging site

So livejournal is not accessible at work. I suspect it has something to do with the new adult content tags. I could not think of a valid business reason to allow me to blog on EllJay, especially since i have been so bad about posting anything other than quizzes over the past few years. Consequently, I decided to make a new start so here I am :) I will try to link this on my livejournal when I get home, and i will still peruse my friends page on there when I am at home. After all, how can i survive without the humor provided by some of the communities i have been reading for years. Without further a due(SP?) here is what is currently on my mind.

1. Livejournal was bought by some Russian company. I think it is called SUP. This in itself did not bother me since they left Brad (who now seems to be working at google) on board in an advisory capacity. However recent occurrences in LJ land have been very reminiscent of nascent KGB practices. When I first joined LJ you needed to be invited by a user to have a free account or you could buy a paid account. As I am not known for my patience, i paid for a yearly membership. When permanent accounts became available, I bought one because I anticipated using and enjoying Live journal for a long time and i didnt want to worry about yearly payments. Sometime soon after I joined, basic accounts were opened up for everyone and sometime after that Brad sold the company to Six Apart. Six apart introduced plus accounts which gave some paid featured to free users if they had advertising on their journal. Finally, SAP got rid of basic accounts and introduced the option of possible sponsored accounts to counteract that. Now the problem that I had with that, is that they completely did this without consulting the advisory board (who were all against it) I think that internet services that I buy permanent accounts for tend to fail, face the jury turned to shit as well. That is why I am sucking with the yearly membership with the ACM. Mine buying a permanent account is like black widow for online services.

2. Work has been steadily getting busier and more interesting. I have now being assigned an actual silo-manufacturing applications-which is going to allow me to build relationship with a group of application analysts. I had to do a major migration this past weekend, which along with Shabatot on Sunday and Kitty cleaning on Saturday made me have a 3 hour long weekend but it was worth it because everything went well and I actually had a significant amount of stuff to contribute in the status report. Yay.

3. Work is having a chess tournament and I have lost every game so far. I bought this Chessmaster software that only seems to work on Windows. I have this rule to not use my work laptop at home unless I absolutely need to do actual work...but I just might break down. Billy said something about either running it on Parallels on my MAC or VMware on my Fedora box

This is all I can think off for now. Please feel free to add me. It would be nice to have an audience.
